Sight is ZAEL’s performance intelligence module. It transforms propulsion, navigation, manoeuvring and engine data into clear insights, giving operators an objective view of vessel performance. 

Maximising Vessel Performance
For newly constructed vessels, Sight automatically processes trial data and generates performance reports within one minute of trial completion. This enables rapid verification, faster issue identification, timely adjustments and significantly improved delivery timelines.

Fleet Fuel Efficiency

Sight monitors and benchmarks fuel consumption across every vessel by aggregating engine load, throttle behaviour and fuel usage. Each vessel is assigned a Benchmark Efficiency Score, enabling operators to quickly identify which vessels are operating efficiently and which are underperforming. 

Scores are tracked over time, allowing early detection of deteriorating trends and targeted intervention before inefficiencies compound into cost.

Proactive Performance Monitoring
During operation, Sight continuously monitors vessel performance to detect early signs of efficiency deterioration. Changes such as increasing acceleration time or rising engine RPM demand at cruising speed are identified early and surfaced with actionable recommendations. Following corrective actions such as hull cleaning or maintenance, Sight verifies performance recovery and automatically updates the vessel's baseline.
 

Pulse is ZAEL’s vessel health monitoring module. It harnesses data analytics and machine learning to detect abnormal machinery behaviour and emerging equipment issues early, enabling operators to address potential faults before they escalate into failures or downtime.

Vessel View

Pulse continuously monitors engines, generators, pumps and other critical assets in real-time. Subtle deviations and emerging fault signatures are detected before they escalate into operational disruptions. Predictive alerts surface early with associated recommended actions, giving operators the window they need to act to reduce the risk of failure. 

Fleet View

For onshore technical teams, Pulse extends the same intelligence across the fleet, providing a consolidated, real-time view of machinery health on every vessel. When anomalies are detected, Pulse provides root-cause analysis and recommended actions, enabling engineers to diagnose issues remotely and coordinate targeted interventions ahead of a vessel's next port of call. 

Watch is ZAEL’s digital watchkeeping module. It uses computer vision to analyse live CCTV feeds across the vessel to identify unusual, unsafe or unauthorised activities in real-time.

Onboard Safety & Crew Welfare
Watch instantly detects and alerts operators to a broad spectrum of onboard hazards – smoke, fire, flooding and more – before they escalate into emergencies. For crew safety, Watch also identifies incidents such as man-down events or man-overboard situations and flags the incident immediately.

Vessel Security
Watch monitors external and internal CCTV feeds for unauthorised access and suspicious activity and alerts the security team to unrecognised presence. Whether navigating a piracy hotspot or secured at berth, operators can be confident that any breach of restricted areas is detected and escalated without delay.
 

Scribe is the safety and compliance benchmarking module. It analyses fleet‑wide operational data to help operators drive continuous improvement in fleet safety, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Fleet Safety Scoring

Scribe aggregates manoeuvring data across the fleet and computes a composite safety score. Dimensions such as speeding, near misses, course irregularity, cornering force and acceleration profile are assessed, enabling fleet managers to rank vessels, identify outliers and track whether safety performance is improving, holding steady or degrading over time. 

Behaviour Classification & Improvement Loop

Scribe classifies each vessel's characteristic driving style by profiling behavioural tendencies such as speed consistency, cornering behaviour and acceleration patterns.

When safety violations are detected, Scribe surfaces a clear breakdown of each infringement alongside targeted, actionable recommendations designed to address the specific behaviours driving scores down. 

Compliance Reporting
Scribe also encompasses regulatory compliance capabilities, including CII rating computation with monthly sub-scores and annual projections, full emissions monitoring and reporting, EU ETS compliance with voyage-level EUA liability computation, and FuelEU Maritime tracking, enabling fleet managers to maintain regulatory compliance proactively rather than reactively.
