Announces availability of VR-Forces simulation platform with Tactical Data Link interoperability for command and control systems training
Paris, France, 25 May 2021 – ST Engineering Antycip has formed a strategic new partnership with CogSim Technologies, a Canadian technology company that provides software solutions and services for advanced training and simulation applications, to distribute CogSim Tactical Data Link (TDL) Simulation Suite and TDL plug-in for VR-Forces Computer Generated Forces (CGF) platform in Europe.
Designed for warfighter training, these tools complement and advance ST Engineering Antycip's range of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) simulation software products, enabling customers to achieve interoperability for command and control systems training and increase training mission effectiveness.
“We are always searching for best-in-breed technologies that complement and extend our COTS capabilities, and CogSim Technologies brings a new core competency and application focus that meets the stringent requirements of our customers,” said Chris Waldron, ST Engineering Antycip’s Regional Manager for the UK, Netherlands, and Nordics.
Murray Gamble, Director of Engineering of CogSim Technologies, said, “ST Engineering Antycip’s unique experience and ability to represent us in product and services sales in markets across Europe and beyond is unrivalled. The simulation of TDL is a specialised area that is critical to effective warfighter training. Our TDL simulation tools and technology are non-ITAR (the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations), making them accessible to a broader training and simulation market.”
CogSim TDL Simulation Suite
CogSim Technologies’ TDL Simulation Suite provides software libraries as well as test and analysis tools to add TDL simulation interoperability to new and existing training and simulation systems efficiently and cost-effectively. Available on Microsoft Windows, the versatility of the solution extends to its TDL Gateway, which enables interoperability between different networks, such as DIS, HLA, SIMPLE and JREAP-C.
TDL plug-in for VR-Forces CGF platform
TDL for VR-Forces combines CogSim's proven TDL simulation technology with MAK Technologies’ industry-leading VR-Forces CGF platform, distributed by ST Engineering Antycip in Europe. Seamless integration with VR-Forces simplifies TDL scenario generation and run-time integration to rapidly simulate real-life operational scenarios. Key features include simulation object editor (SOE) integration, which allows developers to add and configure a TDL Terminal to VR-Forces platform; purpose-built TDL dialogs and panels; and customisable TDL symbology.
