Singapore, 27 September 2023 – To provide airline operators in the Australasia region with greater breadth and depth in aircraft engine nacelle MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) solutions, ST Engineering’s Commercial Aerospace business and Quickstep Holdings (“Quickstep”) have entered into a partnership to bring together their complementary capabilities to service the region out of facilities in Australia.
Under the partnership, ST Engineering and Quickstep will establish a regional nacelle pool in Australia that can service a wide range of Airbus and Boeing aircraft platforms. Quickstep will conduct the day-to-day operations for the services at its aerospace manufacturing and MRO facilities in Australia, which include a 16,000 sqm composite manufacturing plant at Bankstown Airport in Sydney and an MRO facility at Melbourne Airport. ST Engineering will leverage its MRO capabilities in nacelles and aerostructures to provide the necessary engineering support, and help Quickstep enhance their operational delivery, quality and nacelle capabilities especially for new-generation aircraft to better meet customers’ needs.
