Q: What did you enjoy most about your internship?
My tenure as a Cyber Range Engineer intern at ST Engineering was filled with many valuable experiences and opportunities!
Working closely with the Cyber Range team, I gained valuable experience in creating practical scenarios for cyber range training and supported the team conducting cyber range exercises. I was also given the opportunity to learn more about ST Engineering’s Security Operations Centre and the pivotal skills required to maintain and enhance an organisation’s defence mechanisms.
Q: How would you describe the experience?
I would describe my experience at ST Engineering as transformative and enlightening. Immersed in a dynamic and supportive environment, I was exposed to a blend of rigorous academic concepts and real-world applications, particularly in cybersecurity. The hands-on projects, collaborative opportunities, and mentorship provided me with valuable insights and practical skills.

Overall, my internship at ST Engineering was incredibly rewarding. It provided me with a comprehensive view of cybersecurity that combines theoretical knowledge and practical applications. Q: What advice would you give to future interns at ST Engineering?
- Embrace every opportunity with an open and proactive mindset.
- Dive deep into projects and strive to understand the 'how' and 'why' for each task. Ask questions, seek feedback, and actively engage with your team.
- Know that your mentors or supervisors are there to guide as well as challenge you beyond what you already know, to expand your learning.
- View every challenge as an opportunity for growth.
- Never give up however challenging the task may seem.
