ST Engineering Employees Walked, Ran and Cycled 600,000km to Raise $550,000 for President’s Challenge 2024

Singapore, 19 July 2024 – ST Engineering today presented President Tharman Shanmugaratnam with a cheque of $550,000 for President’s Challenge 2024. The amount was raised by employees participating in ST Engineering’s annual month-long wellness programme – ST Engineering MOVEment.

ST Engineering MOVEment is a group-wide initiative encouraging employees to stay healthy, keep fit and do good. The Group pledged a dollar for every kilometre walked or run by employees, and for every three kilometres cycled. This year, in Singapore alone, over 6,000 employees collectively clocked more than 600,000 kilometres, about 15 times around the Earth.

The cheque presentation ceremony was held during the ST Engineering MOVEment 2024 finale event at Gardens by the Bay, where about 400 employees took part in a mass walk and run.
