ST Engineering’s Electronics Arm Divests its Shares in WizVision

Singapore, 26 April 2019 – Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) today announced that its Electronics arm has divested its 22.8% equity interest in WizVision Pte Ltd (WizVision), for a consideration of $647,885 to an existing shareholder of the company. The cash consideration was arrived at after taking into account the financial performance of WizVision and its future business prospects.

The divestment of WizVision is a result of the Group’s ongoing review to rationalise its business portfolio. ST Engineering will recognise a one-off gain of about $1m from this divestment.

This exercise is not expected to have any material impact on the consolidated net tangible assets per share and earnings per share of ST Engineering for the current financial year.
