Having built our expertise over two decades, ST Aerospace today serves many air forces, aircraft operators and aircraft manufacturers across the globe.

At the Engineering Development Centre, our services are fully integrated with ST Aerospace’s Total Aviation Support programme, providing customers with a one-stop solution for all their airborne systems, aircraft modification and capability upgrade needs.

Equipped with strong turnkey programme management expertise, we plan, manage and implement the entire development life cycle for customers, from conceptual definition to post-service support.

An approved vendor and supplier of aircraft engineering services to various international aircraft and equipment OEMs, civil and military operators, we are also able to meet the needs of both small and large fleet operators.

Aircraft Acceptance Test Programmes

We also plan, manage and perform a comprehensive range of ground and flight acceptance test programmes to qualify new systems and aircraft that have undergone modification or upgrade.

The work we perform includes avionics, aircraft systems and structural testing, performance and handling, stores certification and electromagnetic interference/compatibility (EMI/EMC).  We also provide solutions for environmental qualification, reliability and maintainability and supplemental type certification.

Our wide range of aircraft engineering services are optimised for flexibility and growth.  Our avionics systems engineering encompasses weapons and navigations equipment, sensors and command and control systems.

We also develop and maintain aircraft structural design, aircraft electrical design, advanced composites for aircraft and more.

Customers have partnered us to develop customised aircraft equipment for high performance, real-time computation, control and display applications for use in the airborne environment.

Forging ahead, we have also created a range of mini tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems suitable for military, law enforcement and civil use.  These are modular, compact and rugged aircraft that are engineered and designed to be adaptable for various applications.

    Our quality management system is certified to the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2000 and EN/JISQ/AS9100:2004 standards.  The attainment of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) Part 21 Design Organisation Approval is further testament to our ability to provide sound engineering solutions that meet airworthiness requirements.

    Global Collaborations in Aerospace Engineering

    Some of our notable global collaborations include:

    • Strategic partner of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) on engineering and development programmes
    • Partnership with Boeing on 757-200 passenger-to-freighter conversions, certified to the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA) requirements
    • Partnership with Eurocopter France and CATIC of China to design, certify and manufacture the EC 120 light helicopter to FAA and JAA requirements
    • Partnership with Airbus on A330 and A320 passenger-to-freighter conversions
